However, information necessary for the quality service provision is provided to third parties after obtaining consent from the members in the service use contract stage.

  1. 5. Personal Information Retention and Use Period, Delete Procedures and Methods

    The period of retention and use of collected personal information is from the time of signing on the service contract (membership sign up) to the termination of a service contract (membership withdrawal). In principle, the company destroys such information without delay after the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. However, if it is necessary to preserve the information under the relevant statutes, the company shall keep the membership information for a certain period as prescribed by the relevant statutes as follows.

    5-1 Reasons for retention of personal information under relevant statutes

    5-2 Deletion procedure

    After the purpose is achieved, the user’s personal information is transferred to a separate database (in case of paper, a separate document box) and is destroyed after being stored for a certain period of time (see 4.1) in accordance with internal policies and other relevant laws. At this time, personal information transferred to a separate DB shall not be used for any purpose other than the purpose agreed by the member or otherwise provided by law.

    5-3 Deletion method

    Personal information printed on paper shall be destroyed by shredder or incineration, etc., and personal information stored in electronic file form shall be destroyed using technical or physical methods that cannot be used to play back records.

    5-4 Introduction of a personal information validity period system

    The personal information of customers who do not have a record of use (long-term non-use members) will be managed separately and will be guided by e-mail address at least 30 days prior to the separate storage processing date. Personal information stored separately is destroyed after being stored for a period of time according to the reasons(see 4.1) for retention of information protection under the relevant statutes.

    6-1 Customer Rights

    Customer may at any time request modification, withdrawal of consent, deletion or access to the collected information. However, the use of some or all of the services may be restricted when the consent is withdrawn or deleted. The personal information that the company collected can be found in the following ways.

    Information not available directly through the RedBik Web or app can be found by contacting the RedBik Customer Center (support@redbik.com). If you wish to request withdrawal, deletion, or suspension of personal information consent, you can request it through the Redbik Customer Center. In addition, customers can withdraw their consent to collect and use personal information at any time by withdrawing from membership. Some or all of the services may be restricted upon such request. In addition, withdrawal, deletion, suspension of consent might not be processed in such cases as there are special provisions in the law, or inevitable to comply with statutory obligations, there is a risk of harming other people’s lives, property and other interests, or when failure to fulfils the contract is expected if personal information is not processed and the information subject has not clearly shown the intention to terminate the contract. The information will not be used or provided to others until the processing is completed. In addition, if the wrong personal information is already provided to a third party for rational reasons, it shall be notified to the third party without delay to withdraw, delete or suspend the consent.

    6-2 Customer Responsibilities

    Customers are obliged to protect their personal information, and the company is not responsible for any problems caused by information leak due to sell/lend/loss of ID(email address), password or access media, customer carelessness like leaving the device with lonon status, or hacking using technology that can be prevented by security measures based on relevant laws. The customer must keep their personal information up to date and is responsible for any problems caused by the customer’s inaccurate information entry. Member registration with another person’s information or payment processing by ID theft will cause the membership termination and may be punished in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. Customer is responsible for maintaining security for IDs, passwords, etc. and may not transfer or lend them to third parties. Customer is obliged to cooperate with periodic activities for security in accordance with the company’s privacy policy.

  1. 7. Set up Internet access information files and guide customized advertising

    To provide individual customers with a simple and efficient personalized service, RedBik can collect and store information that is automatically generated by the service use process or non-personally identifiable device information.

    7-1 Cookie

    Cookies are small text files that are transferred and stored to the device on website access to ensure efficient and secure Web use. If user visits the website again after the cookie is saved, the cookie recognizes the website user’s device and automatically recalls the past settings and past usage.     7-2 Personalized advertising

    RedBik collects and uses online behavioral information through cookies and advertisement identifiers (ADID, IDFA) in order to provide customized advertisements to customers. The Korea Communications Commission defines online behavior information as online user activity information that can identify and analyze users’ interests, attentions, preferences and dispositions, such as website visit history, app use history, purchase and search history, etc. The online behavioral information the company collect is not linked to other personal information and does not identif individuals.

    RedBik is implementing the following measures to protect users’ personal information.

    • Encrypted storage: In addition to the unique identification information, password, and payment information required by laws and regulations, phone numbers and e-mails are also encrypted and stored, and transmitted using encrypted communication sections.
    • Safe management: We use an intrusion prevention system and a threat detection system to prevent the leakage and damage of personal information from hacking or viruses. The latest vaccine programs are used to prevent users’ personal information or data from being leaked or damaged, and personal information is safely transmitted and received over the network through encrypted communication.
    • Minimization of personal information handlers: We minimize the number of employees handling personal information and reduce the possibility of personal information leakage by strictly managing personal information downloads.
